A. 2 hrs
B. 3.5 hrs
C. 2.5 hrs
D. 3 hrs
Solution: Given Prabhas is twice as good a workman as Rana.

Q: 10 men and 15 women together can complete a work in 6 days. It takes 100 days for one man alone to complete the same work. How many days will be required for one woman alone to complete the same work?
A. 240 days
B. 215 days
C. 235 days
D. 225 days
Solution: Given that
(10M + 15W) x 6 days = 1M x 100 days
=> 60M + 90W = 100M
=> 40M = 90W
=> 4M = 9W.
From the given data,
1M can do the work in 100 days
=> 4M can do the same work in 100/4= 25 days.
=> 9W can do the same work in 25 days.
=> 1W can do the same work in 25 x 9 = 225 days.

Hence, 1 woman can do the same work in 225 days.
Q: One girl can eat 112 chocolates in half a minute, and her boy friend can eat half as many in twice the length of time. How many chocolates can both boy and girl eat in 12 seconds ?
A. 32
B. 56
C. 49
D. 44
Solution: Girl eats 112 chocolates in 30 sec
so she can eat in 12 sec is 12 x 112/30 = 44.8 chocolates.

Her boy friend can eat one-half of 112 in twice of 30 sec
so he can eat 56 in 60 sec
Then he can eat in 12 sec is 56 x 12/60 = 11.2 chocolates.

Hence, together they can eat = 44.8 + 11.2 =56 chocolates in 12 seconds.
Q: A can complete a work in 12 days with a working of 8 hours per day. B can complete the same work in 8 days when working 10 hours a day. If A and B work together, working 8 hours a day, the work can be completed in --- days ?
A. 87/5
B. 57/12
C. 60/11
D. 51/24
Solution: A can complete the work in 12 days working 8 hours a day
=> Number of hours A can complete the work = 12×8 = 96 hours
=> Work done by A in 1 hour = 1/96

B can complete the work in 8 days working 10 hours a day
=> Number of hours B can complete the work = 8×10 = 80 hours
=> Work done by B in 1 hour = 1/80
Work done by A and B in 1 hour = 1/96 + 1/80 = 11/480
 => A and B can complete the work in 480/11 hours

A and B works 8 hours a day.
Hence total days to complete the work with A and B working together
= (480/11)/ (8) = 60/11 days
